The MAN eTGL is setting new standards in urban and regional transport. With its fully electric drive, the compact commercial vehicle combines eco-friendly credentials with outstanding power and economy. The sophisticated cooling and heating system ensures the efficient use of the battery capacity from both battery packs (160  kWh). The MAN eTGL is also extremely manoeuvrable and boasts stable handling with heavy loads thanks to the short wheelbase.

This agile eTruck has a versatile design, for use with dry-freight and cool boxes of different sizes[kofferaufbau]  and its quiet operation benefits both the driver and residents. What’s more, when it comes to exhaust emissions, you don’t have to worry about access restrictions due to pollutants with the MAN eTGL.

The all-electric MAN eTGL proves its strengths not only in regular distribution transport, but also in complex refrigerated logistics. It’s the perfect solution for zero-emissions food transport, delivering to places like inner-city restaurants. Its optimised wheelbase range ensures both high manoeuvrability and maximum load capacity.

Use the high-voltage industry-standard interface to connect the necessary cooling units directly and efficiently to the vehicle’s high-voltage network. The units can be mounted where you like – either conventionally at the front of the body or weight-optimised below the frame – to make the best possible use of the permissible total weight.

Everything at a glance: The new standard view of the high-resolution 12.3-inch colour display offers intuitive operation and clearly shows the most important vehicle data. The semicircular arrangement of the speedometer and rev counter creates more space in the centre for additional information such as energy balance and electric PTOs.

Focus on what matters. The new calm display mode only shows the most important driving information for quick checks. It can be activated manually and switches on automatically when reversing.

The battery: The heart of the MAN eTGL

MAN batteries

The battery in the new MAN electric truck generation sets new standards. The MAN eTGL promises a competitive industry-standard daily range (up to 310 km[actual-range]) and an effective battery capacity of 160 kWh (two battery packs) for payloads. If you use your breaks wisely for top-up charging, you can increase the daily range further. With innovative fast chargers with a charging capacity of 250 kW, you can usually recharge the battery packs in just 35 minutes.

We produce our batteries in-house at the MAN site in Nuremberg, keeping the expertise for this key technology in our own hands. The MAN batteries are specially developed for commercial vehicles and meet the requirements of these vehicles in daily use. They offer high energy levels while staying lightweight and keeping costs down – without any compromises in terms of operational safety.

Also available for ADR-compliant applications 

ADR equipment in accordance with types AT and FL is available for select versions of the MAN eTGL. The MAN eTGL can therefore also be used for regulated transport tasks in urban or regional areas. 

The ADR-compliant vehicle design includes, among other features, ADR-compliant wiring, speed limitation and additional safety and shut-off systems such as battery-powered emergency shut-off functions. 

The MAN eTGL is therefore expanding its range of applications – while maintaining the same efficient and locally emission-free operation you are accustomed to.
