World premiere at the Busworld

The trade journalists on the jury of the Sustainable Bus Award (Sby) are also enthusiastic about the new eCoach: they honoured it with the prestigious award in the "Coach" category right after its world premiere. "This award is a real milestone. It is the first time that an electric bus has received this award. We are, of course, incredibly proud of this," says Barbaros Oktay, Head of Bus at MAN Truck & Bus.  

The jury presented the award to the MAN Lion's Coach 14 E because the eCoach sets technological standards for sustainable coach travel. The coach has a fully electric powertrain with a continuous output of 330 kW and a usable battery capacity of up to 480 kWh, which enables fast charging and a range of up to 650 kilometres. However, the jury particularly highlighted the sustainability aspect: the model achieves a recycling rate of over 95 percent of its components, is manufactured in plants certified to international environmental standards and has responsible life cycle management of its batteries.

"Over the past two years, we have won the award in the intercity and city bus categories with our MAN Lion's City 12 E LE and Lion's City 10 E. This year, our MAN Lion’s Coach 14 E impressed the jury and prevailed over the competition," explains Heinz Kiess, Head of Product Marketing Bus, adding: "This underlines our leading position in the field of e-buses – and we are very pleased about that."  

Further highlights: new TGE Coach, MAN Lion’s Intercity with EfficientHybrid drive and eMobility services

The completely revamped MAN TGE Coach minibus, based on the completely redesigned base vehicle of the 2025 model year – the MAN TGE Next Level – is also celebrating its trade fair premiere. In addition to safety, the model update focused primarily on passenger comfort.

Another world premiere awaits visitors in the outdoor area: the MAN Lion’s Intercity with EfficientHybrid drive for fuel savings. The technology has already caused a stir in the current Lion’s City generation and in the Lion’s Intercity low-entry models, and is now also being introduced in the high-floor segment.  

In addition to new models, MAN Transport Solutions is also presenting comprehensive and tailor-made solutions for the switch to eMobility at Busworld – from charging infrastructure and deployment planning to TCO calculations. The digital services from MAN DigitalServices on display in Brussels also support operators in the efficient control of their vehicles, for example through fleet management, predictive maintenance and consumption analyses.
