A location with tradition and a future
On a site the size of 140 football pitches, MAN develops and manufactures HGVs, axles and cabs in its Munich factory. Its 70th anniversary saw a big family party - with beer brought by an eTruck.
We can all be proud of the site’s history. [...] This powerful tradition provides an excellent foundation on which to build our future. “
Start of production: The first truck rolled off the assembly line at the Munich plant on 15 November 1955.
Looking back: This is what the truck assembly hall at the MAN plant in Munich looked like 70 years ago.
The cab meets the drive: a picture of MAN production in 1962.
Delivering beer to the factory celebration using both a horse-drawn dray and an electric truck represents a strong symbol for us: we’re combining our centuries-old brewing tradition with innovative technology. “
