Driver-oriented instrument panel
To ensure the best possible clarity, the displays and the control elements of the MAN TGX are arranged separately. This results in optimised reading distances and ergonomic accessibility.
Gear shift control close at hand
The convenient gear shift control on the switch on the right of the steering column can be used to select the driving program and driving mode. The advantages: more space between the seats, improved ergonomics, increased safety.
Multifunction leather steering wheel
It provides quick access to all important functions. The multifunction buttons are ergonomically arranged on two separate control isles, where you can even call up the central operating menu directly. At standstill, the steering wheel can be folded into a horizontal position, making room for entry, exit and cross-cab access. On the move, even a very steep steering wheel angle is possible.
Electric parking brake
The switch for the electric parking brake is located on the right-hand side next to the instrumentation in the instrument panel – in direct proximity to the gear shift control and the ignition lock. It can be operated manually at any time but is also engaged automatically when the vehicle is parked and releases again automatically when the vehicle moves off.
Infotainment system
Navigation, radio channels, video function, telephone and more – all this is part of the intuitive infotainment system of the MAN Truck generation and makes it the central hub for communication and entertainment. The display is available in 12.3 inches and also in other sizes. Touch control was deliberately not included – the infotainment system is fully controlled via MAN SmartSelect.
An abundance of storage
The MAN TGX offers more than 1,100 litres of storage space in the form of shelving, drawers, roof storage compartments and many other practical storage ideas to provide an abundance of space. This ensures order and increases safety. A pleasant feel is included.
Premium seats
The premium seats offer optimum comfort to every driver thanks to an exclusive MAN seat contour developed with the experience of thousands of test kilometres.
Language recognition via driver card
Convenient time savings: With automatic language recognition via driver card, which can be activated via MAN Now, the truck automatically switches all displays to the driver's language when the card is inserted. This reduces the time it takes to start off if there are frequent driver changes. There are 28 languages available in total.
Alcohol Interlock capability
Traffic accidents under the influence of alcohol are all the more unfortunate, because they absolutely can be avoided. Alcohol Interlock capability enables a test device to be retrofitted to determine the alcohol level in the driver’s breath. This electronically prevents the engine from starting until the driver is capable of driving again.
Tyre pressure control system with temperature display
Early warning of potential damage: Thanks to sensor monitoring, the system immediately detects when the air pressure is not right or the tyres overheat and warns the driver of this. This can help the driver to avoid tyre blow-outs and fires and to increase the operating and driving safety.
Sensor-enhanced fifth-wheel coupling
Coupling made more convenient: Three sensors mounted on the fifth-wheel coupling enable drivers to monitor the hitching and unhitching process from the comfort of their workplace. The connection status is shown in the display, making coupling processes significantly easier for the driver and preventing damage due to incorrect hitching and unhitching.
MAN OptiView [Van-AdditionalCosts] [Van-LimitsSystem]
Ideal view: The MAN OptiView digital mirror replacement system [Van-AdditionalCosts] [Van-LimitsSystem] ensures an outstanding overview of the traffic situation behind and to the side of the truck at all times. To provide optimal support for the driver, it can, for example, show an adjusted zoom or wide-angle view when cornering or manoeuvring. The system filters out glare and automatically adjusts what is shown on the display to the ambient brightness so that the camera image is always clear and easy to see. The removal of the external mirrors also increases the driver’s direct field of vision and improves the truck’s aerodynamics.
Noise-reducing windscreen
For better insulation from outside noise, the MAN TGX also has a 0.81 mm thick acoustic film that joins the two individual panes of the laminated safety glass. This helps the driver concentrate while driving and sleep better during breaks.
Fully digital instrumentation
The restyled and fully digital instrumentation shows all essential operating information even more clearly and understandably on a high-resolution 12.3” colour display. The intuitive operation and menu navigation are available upon entering the vehicle – without having to start the ignition.
New colours in the cab
The interior can now be designed in two new colours: Desert Beige with Tuscan Red makes for a cosier atmosphere. And Dark Moon Grey with silver not only provides urban elegance, it is also very durable: This colour scheme is suitable for all applications, even when the going gets a little tougher.
Direct access to central assistance systems operating menu
Improved ease of use: The central operating menu for all assistance systems in the truck is now available at the push of a button. The intuitive operation and menu navigation means it is now significantly easier to configure assistance systems, particularly if there are frequent driver changes.

Conventional exterior mirrors are not always sufficient to keep an eye on the traffic behind the vehicle: A low sun or the high-beam headlights of the vehicle behind might blind the driver. By contrast, our MAN OptiView [Van-AdditionalCosts] [Van-LimitsSystem] always ensures the best possible view of everything that is happening behind and next to the truck. This is because the mirror replacement system filters out glare and automatically adjusts the display to the ambient brightness.
Our digital exterior mirrors even have more benefits: When shunting, for example, the displays show extended mirror views with zoom factor. And because the compact exterior cameras eliminate the need for mirror arms and mirror surfaces, the driver has a significantly increased field of vision to the right and left. For driving breaks, MAN OptiView [Van-AdditionalCosts] [Van-LimitsSystem] offers a monitoring mode which enables the driver to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings from the cockpit even with the curtains closed.

More safety if the driver loses control: MAN SafeStop Assist [truck-grenzenDesSystems] [truck-smartesysteme]
If the driver is no longer actively steering the truck, the MAN SafeStop Assist [truck-grenzenDesSystems] [truck-smartesysteme] jumps in: The system reduces the speed to an controlled stop, always within the limits of what is possible. This can happen, for example, if the driver loses consciousness.
The process has five stages. First, the system registers whether the driver’s hands are still on the steering wheel and the wheel vibrates. Next a warning sound is emitted, then the assistant actuates the brake twice briefly. If the driver still has not reacted, the vehicle brakes to a standstill. Finally, the gear N is engaged, the parking brake is activated, the interior lighting is switched on and the doors are unlocked.

Keeps distance and stays on target: MAN CruiseAssist [Van-LimitsSystem]
Long-distance journeys are demanding and exhausting. Therefore, it is important to relieve the driver as much as possible and make the journey safer: Our long-haul assistant [Van-LimitsSystem] reliably keeps the MAN TGX at the correct distance and on track.
MAN CruiseAssist [Van-LimitsSystem] automatically adjusts the vehicle’s speed to the current traffic situation, ensuring the necessary distance to the traffic ahead is maintained. In case of a traffic jam, the truck will automatically brake to a standstill and move off again after short stops. In addition, the assistance system generates gentle steering movements to ensure that the truck stays within the marked lane. The driver is also assisted in the event of an intended lane change. If the side radars detect a vehicle in the adjacent lane, MAN CruiseAssist [Van-LimitsSystem] reduces the risk of collision by performing a corrective steering intervention.

Air suspension control
Air sprung rear axles have long been a standard in long-haul transport. However, the possibilities and benefits of air suspension are now increasingly being used in various other segments. The new electronically controlled air suspension VASC (Vehicle Air Suspension Control) is very much part of this trend and now offers an improved and extended range of functions: one example of this is the relievable rear axle, which primarily improves manoeuvrability and helps to reduce wear.
The air suspension control boasts impressive stats, with up to 50% faster lifting and lowering times, as well as a high level of operating convenience. This function not only enables the truck's air suspension to be set remotely or via the multi-function steering wheel, but also that of the trailer/semitrailer.
More control in the cockpit: MAN SmartSelect
Controlling the infotainment system via MAN SmartSelect is both intuitive and innovative in terms of handling and comfort.
You can navigate via MAN SmartSelect by turning the small rotating ring.
The main menu is called up by turning the capacitive rotating ring.
Using the handwriting recognition of MAN SmartSelect, list entries can be selected easily and quickly and the integrated touchpad can be used to zoom in.
The rest area
A home away from home: The rest area in the MAN TGX is the ideal place to relax after a hard day’s work.
Comfort bed for a good night’s sleep
A spacious multi-zone cold-foam mattress (200 x 80 cm) on a 7-zone slatted frame ensures a restful night’s sleep and good start to the day. For a short break in between, the comfort bed can be easily adjusted on the headpiece and turned into a sofa.
Storage space and shelves
Everything just an arm’s reach away. All the essentials can be easily reached from the bed. This is effected by smart solutions such as a pull-out fridge and additional storage space underneath the bed.
Adaptable cockpit
The cockpit of the MAN TGX can be adapted to the individual needs of the driver. For example, the optionally available Vario co-driver’s seat can be turned into a practical table by simply folding it over. This opens up space between the seats and the rest area and offers a whole new level of comfort.
Comfort at the press of a button
Using the remote control for frequently used functions means that you can stay comfortable on the bed. Media system, lighting, independent heating and even the doors, windows and the lifting roof can be conveniently controlled from the comfort bed. Misplacing impossible: This is ensured by the power supply cable.
Always in a pleasant climate
Whilst driving, MAN Climatronic provides fully automatic temperature control. Optimally directed air currents maintain a clear view to the outside – and add to the comfort of the driver. The auxiliary air-conditioning system takes over during break times.
Solid design
The defining features of the MAN TGX leave no doubt that you are looking at a real MAN.
It absorbs the sun – but that’s not all. Our sunblind reliably protects the driver from bright sunlight. At the same time, its shape ensures significantly better air flow. With the sunblind, your MAN TGX even consumes less fuel than without.
When equipped with partial leather upholstery, the headrest of the driver’s and co-driver’s seat is upgraded with an expressive, embroidered lion symbol – unmistakably MAN. Behind the seats, a heavy-duty curtain provides a better darkening effect. The continuous curtain also simplifies handling.
The distinctively shaped LED headlights with trailblazing technology feature lighting functions such as high beam and low beam headlight, daytime driving lights, as well as clear glass lamps and indicators. Broader illumination of the road ensures that safety is always along for the ride – especially during long night-time journeys.
The MAN TGX comes in a choice of two colours: a warm Desert Beige and timelessly elegant Moon Grey. Both colours evoke an air of high quality and provide lasting durability wherever your journey leads you.
