MAN Global

At a glance

  • Efficient on the road–with greater range

The optimised aerodynamics can reduce energy consumption by up to 3%[consumption improvement-etgx], while increased recuperation helps extend the range further. The new MAN eTGX 4x2 with six battery packs offers a battery capacity of up to 552 kWh and a range of up to 660 km without intermediate charging[reichweite-etgx-4x2]. With up to seven battery packs, a battery capacity of up to 644 kWh and a range of up to 720 km without intermediate charging[reichweite-etgx-6x2], the new MAN eTGX 6x2-4 semitrailer tractor offers an even greater operating range.

  • Powerful and flexible in use

The new motor range and modular vehicle concept allow the vehicle to be tailored more precisely to different application profiles. Up to 440 kW (600 hp) of power and up to 480 kW of recuperation power provide additional reserves for demanding transport tasks.

  • Driving comfortably and safely

Improved direct visibility and new functions in the cab make everyday work easier and contribute to greater safety and comfort.

A modular system for a wide range of configurations
The modular concept of the MAN eTGX opens up a wide range of options for tailoring the vehicle to different transport requirements. The intelligent BEV modular system enables a range of vehicle concepts and configurations – from the number of battery packs and different driveline layouts to a broad motor range. This allows range, payload, performance and economy to be balanced to suit the individual application profile.

Expanded motor range
The new eCD290, eCD360 and eCD440 power ratings significantly expand the MAN eTGX motor range. This provides a broader power range for different application profiles. At the same time, almost all motor variants offer higher output in generator mode for continuous braking and recuperation.

Up to 440 kW output (600 hp)
The new top-of-the-range motor provides additional power reserves for demanding applications.

Up to 480 kW recuperation power
The high recuperation power allows more kinetic energy to be fed back into the battery, helping to extend the vehicle’s range. At the same time, the high continuous braking power provides additional braking reserves and reduces the load on the service brake.

Flexibly configurable
Alternative rear-axle ratios, tyre options and different battery configurations allow the vehicle to be tailored even more precisely. Rather than a standard solution for all applications, this provides a flexibly configurable basis for different requirements in terms of range, payload and application profile.

Greater payload flexibility
The new MAN eTGX 6x2-4 semitrailer tractor demonstrates how flexibly the vehicle concept can be tailored to specific transport requirements: As a cost-effective series-production solution available ex works, it is designed for payload-intensive long-haul applications requiring particularly high fifth-wheel loads. The configuration with seven battery packs and a battery capacity of up to 644 kWh achieves a range of up to 720 km without intermediate charging[reichweite-etgx-6x2]. The new three-axle semitrailer tractor combines long range with a high permissible fifth-wheel load, meeting both requirements in a single vehicle.

More energy. Less time at the charging station.

The new battery generation features larger batteries, providing more energy[batterieupdate]: Each battery pack provides up to 92 kWh of capacity–giving a total of up to 552 kWh with six battery packs. Optimised aerodynamics reduce energy consumption by up to 3%[verbrauchsverbesserung-etgx]. The higher recuperation power helps extend the range further. As a 4x2 semitrailer tractor, the new MAN eTGX achieves a range of up to 660 km without intermediate charging in standard long-haul transport[reichweite-etgx-4x2].

For an even greater operating range, the new MAN eTGX 6x2-4 semitrailer tractor offers seven battery packs with a battery capacity of up to 644 kWh and a range of up to 720 km without intermediate charging[reichweite-etgx-6x2].

The MCS charging connection on the left-hand side of the vehicle enables particularly high charging power during intermediate charging, supporting efficient long-haul operation.

More direct visibility of what matters

The redesigned driver’s workplace provides improved direct visibility. This makes it easier to spot people and situations in the vehicle’s immediate surroundings at an earlier stage – helping to prevent accidents and improve safety in everyday work.
