FAQs about MAN Charge&Go

What is MAN Charge&Go?

MAN Charge&Go is a public charging service for electric commercial vehicle fleets. The service combines a charging card, service portal, consolidated billing and access to a Europe-wide charging network for eTrucks and eCoaches.

How can I book MAN Charge&Go?

Booking takes place in three uncomplicated steps via the RIO Marketplace. The prerequisite is an active RIO account and the authorisation of the booking person as a fleet administrator in RIO. Alternatively, your MAN salesperson can provide a direct booking agreement.

For which fleets is the service suitable?

MAN Charge&Go is suitable for B2B customers with electric commercial vehicle fleets – also for mixed fleets of different brands.

How many charging cards should be ordered?

One charging card per vehicle is recommended. Additional cards are free of charge and can be managed in the MAN Service Portal and assigned to individual vehicles or drivers. Up to 40 cards can be ordered for an order, questions about ordering charging cards or advice can be submitted via the following e-mail: service.charge-and-go@man.eu.

Where can I find suitable charging points?

Suitable charging points can be found in the RIO fleet monitor and in the MAN Driver App. Further information on location, availability, charging capacity, price and services is also visible there. In order to make optimum use of the fleet monitor and MAN Driver App, we recommend using our new user manual in the MAN Charge&Go Service Portal. Here you can learn step by step how to use these tools effectively to optimise your route planning and charging point search.

What do eTruck Ready and eTruck Limited mean?

eTruck Ready identifies charging points that are suitable for MAN eTrucks according to defined criteria without significant restrictions. Depending on the location, there may be restrictions with eTruck Limited, e.g. when manoeuvring or when accessing with a trailer.

Can I charge at any charging station with MAN Charge&Go?

No. The network focuses on qualified public DC charging points that are suitable for eTrucks and eCoaches. This creates more transparency and thus a more reliable charging experience for commercial vehicles.

How does the charging process start?

To start, drivers hold the MAN charging card for a few seconds on the station’s card reading field and follow the instructions at the charging point. Depending on the station, the charging cable can be connected before or after authentication.

How much does charging with MAN Charge&Go cost?

There are no connection or monthly basic fees. The electricity actually charged is settled; at preferred partner locations, customers benefit from particularly attractive conditions from €0.25/kWh. The current prices can be viewed on the MAN Charge&Go Service Portal on the RIO platform.

Preferred Partners include E.ON Drive, Aral Pulse, Ionity and Milence.

How is the settlement carried out?

All loading processes are assigned centrally to the company account and merged into a consolidated monthly invoice. This is sent centrally via the TCS system. Invoices, charging processes and overviews can be viewed and downloaded at any time in the MAN Service Portal.

Where can drivers and fleet managers get support?

MAN supports Mobile24 in the event of problems on the road. The MAN Charge&Go team is available for administrative issues, such as invoices or contract data.
