MAN Engines is your system integrator for end-to-end coordinated yacht propulsion systems – from the helm to the propeller. In close cooperation with ZF, we supply POD drives that take optimized fuel utilization, outstanding maneuverability and unrivalled operational reliability to a new level. One point of contact, clear interfaces, maximum reliability. Everything from MAN Engines.

WHY CHOOSE AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM FROM MAN ENGINES?

As a full-service provider, MAN Engines is responsible for the complete coordination and integration of all key functions of the powertrain and control system. The result: reduced planning effort and accelerated commissioning in operation. One contact person – responsibility and warranty from a single source.

  • Reduced complexity thanks to a clear contact person, clear interfaces and defined system architecture.
  • Optimally matched components and software.
  • Security and availability through redundant, proven systems.
  • Worldwide service and spare parts availability via MAN Engines' extensive marine network in cooperation with ZF

ZF POD technology – selected & integrated by MAN

The ZF POD platform combines optimized hydrodynamics with counter-rotating propellers and an electro-hydraulic steering system. In combination with proven MAN engines, a highly efficient, intuitively controllable system is created.

The propulsion system is particularly suitable for use in planing vessels and covers a wide speed range of 20 to 35 knots. More than ten different propeller series are available for optimal adjustment to different hull shapes. This means that the right solution can be implemented for every yacht in terms of performance and efficiency, so that both sporty driving performance and quiet, comfortable operation are guaranteed.
