How I arrived at MAN

My sister, who had been working at MAN for a number of years, told me about a vacancy in the Wiesbaden service company. After a quick application followed by an interview, my journey at MAN as an automotive mechatronics engineer began.

What I currently do at MAN

I have been Operations Manager at our Wiesbaden site since April 2023. I was already working at this service company as an automotive mechatronics engineer and workshop foreman.

I have a great team.

Why I like working at MAN

Working with an energetic team makes me happy and fills me with pride.

How I arrived at MAN

Once I had my secondary school leaving certificate under my belt, I looked for a technical apprenticeship. After a recruitment test and interview, I became part of the MAN family.

What I currently do at MAN

After my apprenticeship, I was taken on as an automotive mechatronics engineer and have been working there as an assistant since then. In 2016 I attended the master craftsman course with an additional business administration course at the Schweinfurt Vehicle Academy, which I completed in July 2017. I have been working as a service advisor/workshop foreman since then. My range of duties includes making appointments, scheduling, creating orders, accepting vehicles, ordering parts, through to returning vehicles, invoicing and gathering feedback.

I get things moving because

I face challenges every day and do everything I can to try to get the truck or bus back on the road as quickly as possible and therefore keep the delivery chain moving.

Why I like working at MAN

The working atmosphere is great. The team here does amazing things every day and is constantly surpassing itself. I enjoy looking after our customers and having the opportunity to meet all of their needs.

How I arrived at MAN

I always wanted to work in the automotive industry and during my search I became aware of MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland GmbH. Once I had found out more about MAN, I was sure that this was where I wanted to work.

What I currently do at MAN

After my apprenticeship, I completed further training to become a certified automotive and service assistant and have been working in this role in the Frankfurt service company since then. My range of duties is much more extensive than you might first think, as no two days are the same.

I get things moving because

customer service is the top priority for me.

Why I like working at MAN

I have a wide range of duties, which involve me taking personal responsibility. Due to the varied work, I can always learn something new and rise to the challenges I face. I like the working environment and never feel like I am on my own, even when things get more challenging. We work together as a team, both within our service company but also across sites.

How I arrived at MAN

Through a recommendation from a family member. A few qualifications and successes later, I can look back and confirm that it was the right decision. I am now very grateful to MAN for that opportunity.

What I currently do at MAN

Following a two-year trainee programme to become a qualified automotive salesperson, which I was able to complete here at MAN, I have been working as a Truck Salesperson in a designated sales area for three years.

our products, customer relations and the team are amazing.

Why I like working at MAN

Open communication with customers and colleagues, some of whom have become friends. Collaboration based on trust, and freedom in terms of time management and self-management.

How I arrived at MAN

As a child, I was always fascinated by large commercial vehicles. Through my football coach at the time, I then became aware of MAN.
After an internship in the workshop in the Kaiserslautern service company, I was completely sold on the company and was determined to complete an apprenticeship to become an automotive mechatronics engineer.
I have now been part of MAN for more than 14 years and still look forward to coming to work every day.

What I currently do at MAN

I have been working as a salesperson for trucks and new vehicles since June 2021.
I thoroughly enjoy my job in sales and it is my dream job. Working independently, daily contact with customers and sales without limits are extremely appealing and a huge motivation for me.
Our various customer types, from small craftsmen through to large hauliers, make my daily routine really varied and very enjoyable.

What I am particularly proud of

My personal and professional development at MAN and my first “BIG DEAL” at IAA 2018, where, with Hegelmann, we sold 1000 MAN vehicles.

Why I like working at MAN

We have the best product, which I believe is by far the most beautiful vehicle on the market. It makes me proud to sell MAN’s latest vehicle.
We have a super team at MAN, with lots of lovely colleagues. I have developed a number of friendships here over the last few years, which span the whole of Germany.
