24 V battery management system [Van-AdditionalCosts] : for a reliable start
Empty batteries and stranded vehicles due to excessive use of electrical devices during rest times – with the 24 V Battery Management System, [Van-AdditionalCosts] this is a thing of the past. The system comprehensively monitors the state of the battery to detect critical conditions at an early stage and ensure that the vehicle engine can be started. If discharge status is imminent, comfort consumers are automatically switched off first, then functional consumers and then finally all consumers. In the event of a possible deep discharge – and the associated battery damage – or loss of starting ability, MAN battery management completely stops power consumption [adr-battery], deactivates idle shut down [adr-battery] and raises the idling speed [adr-battery].

MAN SimplePay [man-simplepay]: Simpler payments and cost control
With the digital service MAN SimplePay, it will soon be possible to make contactless payments for charges incurred on the road via the MAN Driver App: for example for refuelling, parking fees or even for the truck wash. In addition, drivers of MAN trucks will soon be able to pay for fuel digitally via a suitable MAN media system in the vehicle, provided that the truck is fitted with an appropriate telematics box. In the event of a breakdown, the automatic cost approval of €1,500 – 5,000 stored in MAN SimplePay ensures problems will be dealt with quicker. Fleet managers have complete transparency and control over incurred costs almost in real time via the digital fleet solution. This saves drivers from having to go to the cashier’s booth and means that it is easier for fleet managers to identify potential savings and possible cases of refuelling fraud.
