With the digital service MAN SimplePay [man-simplepay], the driver will soon be able to avoid having to go to the cashier’s booth and pay for fuel, a truck wash and parking fees, for example, using the MAN Driver App.

Improved aerodynamics
The new generation of brakes reduces wear of the brake linings by actively resetting the brake linings: As soon as the brake is actuated, spring U-bolts immediately push the linings out of the way of the brake discs.
The more efficiently air flows around the vehicle, the less fuel is required when driving. The aerodynamically optimised A-pillar cladding and door gap closures of the MAN TGX help to reduce air resistance.
The optional extensions on the side flaps and roof spoiler reduce the clearance between the cab and trailer, for more effective airflow around the entire vehicle.

MAN SimplePay [man-simplepay]: Contactless payment and cost control
With MAN SimplePay, fuel cards can be digitally stored on the RIO platform for each vehicle. It will soon be possible to make contactless payments for everyday transactions, such as for refuelling, the truck wash, or parking, via the MAN Driver App. Additionally, drivers of MAN trucks will soon be able to pay for refuelling operations digitally via a suitable MAN media system in the vehicle, provided that the truck is fitted with a suitable telematics box.
In the event of a breakdown, the automatic cost approval of €1,500 – 5,000 stored in MAN SimplePay ensures problems will be dealt with quicker. All transaction data are displayed in an automated and vehicle-specific manner in the digital fleet solution. The costs for each vehicle can therefore be viewed easily and potential cost savings can be identified – even for vehicles from other manufacturers.
