Charging management with MAN eManager S
To help you plan the deployment of your electric vehicles as efficiently as possible, MAN eManager S[flottenmanagement-verfuegbarkeit] is there to support you. The service allows you to easily control battery charging and vehicle pre-conditioning.
In timer mode, you specify when your vehicle should be fully charged – the system automatically calculates the optimum start time for charging and pre-conditioning so that the vehicle is ready for use on time.
MAN eManager S gives you a real-time overview of charging progress, the range available with the current battery charge level and the estimated time at which full charge will be reached. You can also set automatic air conditioning of the vehicle interior and pre-conditioning of the high-voltage battery packs. Depending on the ambient temperature, the interior temperature is optimally adjusted to minimise energy consumption at the start of the journey.

Efficient charging configuration
With MAN eManager S, you can manage charging for your electric fleet simply and conveniently via the RIO platform. Choose between immediate charging and timed charging.
With immediate charging, the electric vehicle is charged as soon as it is connected to the charging station. The RIO platform gives you a constant overview of the battery status, the associated range and the remaining time until the target battery charge level is reached. This means you always know when your vehicle will be ready for use again.
With timed charging, it is possible to create several timers – depending on vehicle and departure time. When the electric vehicle is connected to a charging station, charging and, optionally, pre-conditioning start automatically at the optimum time so that the vehicle is ready for operation at the planned departure time. This means that you can plan your vehicle deployment as efficiently as possible. For additional convenience, the period for which the vehicle remains ready for departure can also be extended.
The integrated comfort timer allows the vehicle interior to be pre-conditioned to the desired temperature. This increases passenger comfort while optimising energy efficiency. Charging takes place in the same way as with immediate charging.
If an error occurs during charging, this is also displayed in the application on the RIO platform, allowing you to take corrective action to ensure smooth operation. The event function also provides an overview of charging-related activities and notifications. Users can view events in detail and receive real-time notifications, including optional SMS notifications for critical updates.
Pre-conditioning for a longer range
Thanks to the digital service, you can pre-condition the climate of your electric vehicles’ interior overnight at the click of a mouse. Before leaving the depot at the scheduled departure time in the morning, the vehicle interior can be pre-cooled or pre-heated depending on the outside temperature. Since you can adjust the temperature already during charging, the range of the electric vehicle is optimised and less energy is required for heating or cooling during the journey. Pre-conditioning can optionally be set for both immediate and timed charging.
