Until 13 April 2025, the international construction industry will once again be exhibiting at bauma, presenting new machines and technologies. MAN and Trucker’s World will be there.
The portfolio of electric and conventional vehicle solutions for the construction industry showcased at the world’s leading construction fair ranges from the lightweight MAN TGE 3.5-tonne all-wheel-drive tipper to the MAN TGX heavy-duty semitrailer tractor, capable of handling gross train weights of up to 180 tonnes.
The highlight of the vehicle exhibition at MAN stand 721/11 in the open-air arena is the new all-electric MAN eTGS, presented as a 6X2-4 crane tipper chassis. Fully tailored to the diverse requirements of the construction industry, the MAN eTGS and eTGX e-truck series offers extensive customisation options with a wide range of wheelbases, cab versions, e-motor power classes, PTOs, battery combinations, charging connection positions along with numerous industry-specific equipment features. This allows for up to one million configuration variants, providing every customer and body manufacturer with the ideal electric base vehicle to suit their application.
The MAN TGS 41.480 8x4 BB is a truck for mines, pits and large construction sites. With a powerful D26 common-rail engine (Euro 2), it effortlessly handles even the toughest applications. The dirt-resistant drum brakes and MAN TipMatic overdrive provide maximum off-road reliability while maintaining economical engine speeds on the road. Whether in hot sand or icy cold, this truck comes from the factory with custom optimisations for every climate and mining equipment, including an air intake with pre-separator, a three-part steel bumper and rotating beacons. Its suspension system makes the truck the ultimate workhorse for the toughest jobs!
The MAN TGS 35.540 8x2H-6 BL CH is a real heavy-duty professional! With its D26 engine, 540 PS and 2,650 Nm of torque, the truck handles even the heaviest loads effortlessly. The HydroDrive chassis combines traction with manoeuvrability, making it perfect for demanding applications. The reinforced frame with preparation for 20-tonne front support makes it the ideal basis for crane bodies. With three steered axles and special air suspension for crane operation, the MAN TGS manoeuvres precisely through any challenge. Compared to stationary cranes, it stands out due to short set-up times – flexible, efficient and incredibly versatile!
The MAN TGX 33.640 6x4 BL AS is no ordinary semitrailer combination. Its powerful D3876 engine delivers an impressive 640 PS and 3,000 Nm of torque. The heavy-duty low loader trailer can easily handle a gross train weight of up to 180 t. The MAN EVBec engine brake (340 kW braking power) and MAN TipMatic 12.30 OD with retarder 35 ensure superior control. The tandem axle unit with two-stage ratio delivers maximum tractive power, while the factory-integrated 2-line tipping hydraulics (275/150 bar) guarantee flexibility. Thanks to the Reversing Motion System with two cameras, three-part steel bumper and industry-specific lighting, this truck is ready for any challenge!
The MAN TGM 18.320 4x4 BB CH is the all-in-one solution among construction site vehicles. Equipped with a robust 320 PS D08 engine, the compact three-axle tipper conquers any terrain. Its all-wheel drive technology ensures exceptional manoeuvrability on asphalt and superior traction off-road. The single tyres on the rear axle with 395/85R20 tyres ensure traction on unsurfaced tracks. The main highlight is the MAN PowerMatic automatic transmission with torque converter, which provides powerful acceleration and allows for precise, nearly wear-free manoeuvring. Equipped with dirt-resistant drum brakes, an elevated exhaust, bright LED headlights and the MAN LRA lane-keeping system, it blends durability with comfort.
The MAN TGE 3.200 4x4 BL is the smart all-rounder among compact tippers - with 202 PS engine power (from MAN Individual) and all-wheel drive. The high-quality Meiller Trigenius tipper in an elegant M-Jet design impresses with its smooth surfaces inside and out – a sign of the enduring partnership between the two brands. Thanks to an innovative lightweight design concept, it handles a maximum payload with uncompromising stability. The Lion S Edition gives the vehicle an unmistakable look, while the MAN Individual underride protection ensures additional robustness. The MAN Individual air suspension on the rear axle ensures premium ride comfort – you really have to experience this tipper for yourself.
The MAN eTGS 28.449 6x2-4 BL CH EB redefines construction site work – it is powerful but quiet! With its 449 PS (330 kW) electric drive unit and 4-speed transmission, it is perfect for urban use. Its battery capacity of 320 kWh and the modular battery concept create space for the loading crane’s outriggers – a cleverly thought-out solution! Thanks to the emPTO interface, it effortlessly operates the hydraulics for the Palfinger crane and Meiller tipper. The short wheelbase of 3,750 mm with four batteries ensures optimum manoeuvrability. And best of al, this zero-emission crane tipper can tow trailers with a gross train weight of up to 42 tonnes, and comes factory-ready for body installation. At bauma 2025, the eTruck will be presented in a special Arctic Blue colour scheme.
