The vehicles at Buck are eye-catchers in their own right, but with two of the four new additions, the company had particularly good intentions this time in terms of horsepower and special equipment. "They were ordered secretly by the management and until the day we picked them up in Munich, the drivers didn't know anything about it," says Johannes Buck, a master mechanic at Buck Transporte, explaining what the company sometimes does for long-standing and reliable employees. It is a nice gesture to show the drivers the company's appreciation. At the same time, these fine vehicles are to be seen as an incentive for the other drivers to stay with the company for a long time and to be committed to their jobs.
And as you can see from Sven's example, the company's idea of giving something back to the drivers in the form of special vehicles is very well received: Sven reports that there is a world of difference between his old super lion and the new one. "The vehicle is a lot quieter, not to mention the extra 200 horsepower it now has under the bonnet," laughs the 29-year-old. And the new MAN TGX also performs significantly better in terms of fuel consumption. He did not expect to get a new MAN. We knew that the company had placed an order, but not who the drivers would be. "I was still very happy with my MAN. It was running really well."
