The new one on the fleet

For years, the Spedition Müller forwarding company from Mehren has been focusing on quality, reliability – and MAN. Managing partner Rudolf Müller collected a very special vehicle at the ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix 2025 at Nürburgring – a new MAN TGX PowerLion edition with an innovative D30 powertrain.

Rudolf Müller knows exactly what he wants. With a fleet of 40 vehicles, the company clocks up a fair mileage over the business year. Economic efficiency plays an important role here. “We really wanted to test the new D30 quickly,” says Rudolf, facing the TGX cab with an air of satisfaction. Design details in Nardo Grey and Cassis sparkle in the sun.

The PowerLion edition was an easy decision to make for him. The new D30 claims reductions of up to four percent in fuel consumption. “This was a very attractive proposition for us,” Rudolf emphasises. The 520 hp truck came in a design that turned heads at the ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix. “The other trucks on the fleet are deep blue,” says Rudolf,

“but the PowerLion edition livery is a definite eye-catcher.”

Focused on the driver

Even with all the enthusiasm for technology and optics, people take priority for Rudolf. His drivers come front and centre in the company. The equipment in the new truck reflects this – “We’ve put a lot into the equipment for our employees,” he explains. “We want our drivers to feel comfortable. As a boss, I must put some effort into that.” A final decision as to who will be driving the PowerLion edition in the future has not been reached. Dispatch would make that decision. “It’ll be someone who deserves it though,” says Rudolf with a wink.

Many loyal employees

Spedition Müller has many long-serving employees for a reason. “We have some who’ve been with us for more than 30 years,” says the managing director with a sense of pride. “That’s rather unusual.” Even so, the issues of attracting new talent have not passed him by, like many in logistics. “We need to make things more attractive for drivers,” he says, “by buying cooler trucks and providing incentives.” Spedition Müller runs a solid operation without losing the human touch as reflected in impressive delivery rates of 99.8%. Reliable vehicles play an essential role here. This is another reason why Rudolf Müller is certain that the PowerLion edition will make for a perfect fit with the team.
