MAN UK

Cool consignment, warm atmosphere

There’s a new Trucker’s World-themed show truck gleaming on the haulage yard at Kautetzky. The truck represents two core values practiced at Kautetzky – family spirit and a passion for what they do, as it’s the human being behind the wheel that counts for the refrigerated haulage specialists based in Hesse, Germany.

It’s more than just the start of a new shift for Maksim Ventsislavov as he climbs into the cab of his new MAN TGX every morning. The 26-year-old drives for the Kautetzky haulage company in Stadtallendorf; recently, he began driving a very special vehicle – a MAN TGX 18.540 in Trucker’s World livery. “I’ll protect it with my life,” proclaims Maksim with a laugh. Kautetzky has been delivering fresh foods and pharmaceuticals safely to their destinations all over Europe ever since 1953. The trucks stand out in their striking red and white, reflecting the company’s commitment to reliability and the stable cold chains required for foods and pharmaceuticals.

Together as equals

Maksim is one of many who identify with the Kautetzky company; it just feels right to him. “As soon as I saw the red trucks, I knew this is where I wanted to work,” he says. He definitely stands out with his new truck. The new MAN TGX is no ordinary vehicle, either. The MAN team has fitted it out with painstaking attention to detail from the paint job to the sun visor. The truck’s design and top equipment reflect an appreciation for those on the road every day, at all hours, whatever the weather.

“It was a pleasant surprise seeing the truck,” recalls Gert Kautetzky. “I hadn’t seen any draft designs before that. But once it was here, I knew it was a perfect match. This is a statement. For our drivers, and for what we achieve together.” Gert runs the company together with his brother, Werner, and he knows where Kautetzky’s most valuable resource lies – in the drivers. Everyone knows each other at Kautetzky. They talk to each other. And they find the time for it – even on Saturdays, over coffee on the haulage yard, or at a driver meetup. “We’re also happy to see our drivers taking their trucks to events,” says Gert.

Our drivers put a face to our company. That’s what makes it so important for us to make sure they’re comfortable.

A feeling that stays with you

Gert’s son, Sebastian Kautetzky, has also long since joined the team. He grew up with the business and knows how important it is for drivers to feel like part of a family. “An individual truck is a thing of beauty. If it makes your driver happy, word gets around,” he says. That's exactly why a truck like this is more than just a vehicle. It’s a signal to the team: You matter to us. And that’s exactly what Trucker’s World and Kautetzky have in common – a shared appreciation of the great passion in this profession. So keep your eyes peeled – you might well be seeing a refrigerated truck sporting the Trucker’s World livery on your next stop.
