Cindy's new love is her MAN TGX 18.520 called Eddy

Her truck named Kalle has to share the yard from now on

Anyone familiar with the DMAX series "Asphalt Cowboys" will also know Cindy Faber and her MAN truck "Kalle". After faithful service and 900,000 kilometres, it has found a worthy successor: "Eddy", an MAN TGX 18.520, which reflects the 34-year-old trucker's passion for powerful vehicles.

"Many people think: a blonde with a low loader, sometimes travelling with a wide load. It's easy to be underestimated. So, it's all the nicer when even men say: 'Respect, I couldn't do that'," says Cindy. She has been transporting excavators and wheel loaders to construction sites in Hamburg for Nicolas Sikora's agricultural contracting business in Seevetal for seven years.

What began as a career change developed into a passion. Today, Cindy isn’t just known on the roads, but also on television and in social media as "dieselblondie_cindy” – a name that also adorns her new truck.

The DMAX cameras regularly accompany her in her work. From June onwards, fans can watch Cindy on the road with her new MAN in new episodes of "Asphalt Cowboys" every Monday at 8:15 p.m.

Customised power on the road

"Eddy" is no ordinary HGV. It was configured to Cindy's specifications with 520 hp, Meiller tipping hydraulics and full equipment. Together with MAN salesman Leon Krumm from the Hamburg sales office, she spent nine months fine-tuning the perfect equipment. "A special vehicle, particularly when it comes to retrofitting," explains Leon. Additional lamps and lights as well as numerous special requests make "Eddy" a real eye-catcher. MAN service partner Tiemann completed the extensive conversions in just two weeks. There was never any question for Cindy that she would turn to MAN again.

Such brand loyalty is not a coincidence. "MAN is well thought out. I know I can drive my truck into a field without getting stuck. Performance and looks are crucial for me – this new truck has everything perfectly in place and is totally driver-friendly. That's how my love for MAN came about: You know what you've got and can simply appreciate the quality."

For Cindy, her truck is more than just a work tool – it is her pride and joy and therefore gets the care it deserves. She reckons that her vehicles never let her down because their engines are well maintained: "It’s now 14 days that 'Kalle' has been in the yard. I turn the ignition key and he starts immediately. Where else do you get that? I've never had any trouble with my engines. I think that's the reward for treating them well."

The loyal "Kalle" will remain with the company, while "Eddy" has already made his grand entrance on social media. Cindy presented her new companion in a video and shared her enthusiasm with her fans. Dieselblondie and her new MAN – a success story that has only just begun.
