The key to success for a transport company is optimal efficiency. With up to 8.2 % lower fuel consumption, lower life cycle costs and higher payload, the new MAN Truck Generation takes the “lion’s share” of this.
For example, the particularly popular MAN D26 engine for the long-haul transport and traction segment has been completely revised. Numerous detailed improvements now ensure more power, around 70 kilograms less weight and significantly reduced fuel consumption.
Strong performance: our Product Marketing Expert, Pawel Lukasiewicz, explains how the new MAN TGX saves up to 8.2% fuel thanks to economical engines and efficiency-enhancing innovations:
In a comparative test drive, TÜV Süd confirmed fuel savings up to 8.2 % for the new MAN TGX. In the course of the comparative test drive, a 342 km long test route was driven twice (with driver and trailer change). The consumption result was derived from the average value of both measurements. The profile of the driven test route corresponds to 90 % of the routes travelled in European long-haul transport.
The result of the comparative test drive in brief:
The trade magazine TRUCKER was also fully convinced by the new MAN TGX in terms of fuel consumption.
