The fleet manager can view the data in real time and transmit damage claims directly to the MAN service outlet. This results in maximum uptime and helps to increase business efficiency.

Functions of the app at a glance

Guided digital departure check – including damage report in the event of a breakdown
Before departure, the driver has the chance to document vehicle defects using a digital checklist and to simply forward them to the fleet manager via the RIO platform. The fleet manager can then forward the reported damage to the responsible MAN service outlet.
Access to driving times and rest periods
Drivers can plan their rest times and breaks as needed and are better protected against violating driving times. This function requires booking of the fee-based Timed service via the RIO platform.
Individual driving style analysis
With the MAN Driver App, drivers benefit from performance data they can use for optimising their driving style with respect to efficiency. This function requires booking of the fee-based Perform service via the RIO platform.
Digital manual and quick reference guide for the vehicle functions
The App provides functional explanations and action recommendations for selected switches and check lamps – including a scan function. Furthermore, a comprehensive manual for the latest truck generation is accessible via the app.
Remote control function for multimedia system
Drivers can easily control the MAN Media system from everywhere in the cab via the App.

The App shows you the fastest way to the nearest MAN service outlet – regardless of where you are.
MAN Mobile24 Breakdown Service
With just one click, drivers can request breakdown and accident assistance via the App, and they will receive quick support in the event of a breakdown thanks to automatic location tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Downloading the app is free for the drivers. The standard fees of your mobile phone provider apply when calling Mobile24 and using mobile internet.

To use certain functions, the fleet manager must register with the RIO platform and book the corresponding services. The costs for these services can be found in the RIO platform’s Marketplace. These costs shall be covered by the fleet manager.

To enable you as the driver to use certain functions of the MAN Driver App, the fleet manager must register with the RIO platform and book the corresponding services. After completion of the booking, the driver can be invited to make full use of the functions of the MAN Driver App.

These prerequisites apply to the use of the following functions:

Sending a departure check and damage report to the fleet manager
Viewing driving and rest times
Viewing individual performance figures

To do this, your fleet manager must invite you via email or SMS on the RIO platform. After you have received the invitation via email or SMS, you can click on the activation link and assign a new password. Please note that the activation link is only valid for 48 hours.

Register on the RIO platform and add your vehicles
In the main menu, click on “Driver administration”
Click on the name of the driver
Click on Users and select “New user”
Enter the email address or telephone number of the driver and click on “Create user”. Please note that the telephone number must contain the international dialling code (e.g. +44 for the United Kingdom)

Displaying of performance figures in the MAN Driver App requires:

Booking the Perform service by the fleet manager in the RIO platform’s Marketplace.
Registration with the MAN Driver App (see also: How can I register as a driver?)

Displaying of driving and rest times in the MAN Driver App requires:

Booking the Timed service by the fleet manager in the RIO platform’s Marketplace
Registration with the MAN Driver App (see also: How can I register as a driver?)

In the main menu of the RIO platform, click on “Administration” and then on “Driver administration”
Click on the respective driver card
Click on “Users”
Enter the name of the driver and then click on “Save changes”

Displaying of data in the MAN Driver App requires the assignment to a driver card. For this reason, the information in the Driver App is only visible to assigned drivers. As fleet manager, you can view all information on the RIO platform.
