Code of Conduct
Globally valid rules
Both the Code of Conduct and the MAN Group Mission Statement strictly oppose any form of discrimination. MAN’s principles on the subject of human rights – also part of the Code of Conduct – are based on current international standards, i.e. the »Universal Declaration of Human Rights« and »Fundamental Human Rights Conventions«. In its Code of Conduct, MAN expresses the clear wish that its suppliers and partners also comply with these rules. Whilst it is aware that it is not always possible to verify this in detail, as far as possible it ensures that its partners comply with these criteria. In its international operations, MAN works closely with public authorities and institutions in its host countries.
At their respective locations, the companies of the MAN Group consider themselves corporate citizens in their respective communities, with all the rights and obligations this entails. Corporate policy aims at assuming responsibility with regard to the local community at the company’s various locations. In other words: wherever MAN generates value, the local community should also benefit. At the same time, the company is well aware of its social responsibility in the national and international regions in which it operates.
