Rewarding above-average performance
Students who perform well and make an impression during an internship at MAN may be recommended by their supervisors for the MAN Scholarship program, because we firmly believe that talent should be cultivated from as early on as possible. The same applies to MAN vocational trainees who wish to go on to study after graduating.
As part of our scholarship program, you will be supervised by our professionals and receive assistance in preparing for a career start. For example, scholarship holders will be invited to events or to plant visits during which they can get to know MAN employees. In the course of their studies, a scholarship holder will receive close supervision and preparation for his/her future work at MAN and will generally be given a contract of employment before graduating.
In some cases financial assistance will also be provided for study-related activities, for example study material, seminars or studying abroad.

- How can I obtain support?
-
- As a student you should generally first apply to a company within the MAN Group for an internship (see contact addresses).

- If you are a vocational trainee in a MAN company you can apply to the company where you are located.
- What form does support take?
-
- The focus of the MAN Scholarship is to provide professional and personal supervision to the student. This is done by specialist supervisors working in close cooperation with the relevant personnel department. The type and scope of the supervision depends on the degree course, the current state of the scholarship holder's professional development and his/her future professional role.
- MAN vocational trainees will be given advice by their supervisor concerning degree subject and course and perhaps place of study, wherever possible before they begin studying. Interns will also be given specialist support as early on as possible. While studying, scholarship holders are advised on the best way to approach their studies to ensure that they can complete the intended degree in the shortest possible time without neglecting subjects of general educational value.
While studying
- Advice is geared towards structuring the course in a way that will allow the degree to be completed as successfully as possible in the shortest time possible.
- Advice is given with regard to the choice of subject and preparation of seminar papers.
- Work in the company (an internship) is coordinated to fall between semesters.
- The requirements and conditions for a future career are gradually established and professional contacts are made within the company.
Financial benefits
- The financial benefits of the MAN Scholarship include grants and in some instances assistance payments for study-related activities (such as study material, seminars or studying abroad).
- A grant payment is generally made for the four final semesters before graduation.
- When does support end?
-
The support ends
<- at the latest at the end of the month in which the degree course ends (final examination)
- before that date if it is clear from the grades that the degree course is unlikely to be completed successfully
- What happens then?
-
As a rule, the student will be offered a contract of employment within the MAN Group corresponding to his/her qualifications in good time before the end of the degree course.
